Upbeat Examples
The following exercises use the bass drum on the upbeats or the count "+". The first exercise uses the bass drum on all the upbeats. Practice counting 1+2+3+4+ while playing the bass drum only on the counts "+". Then proceed to try the other exercises. They all sound good and are very valuable to learn!
